This Jaguar E-type SI 3.8-litre Competition Roadster is one of West Riding’s most publicized projects. The car has featured in magazines, trade publications and on the internet, including a feature as the editor’s choice on classicdriver.com.

The car was painstakingly built new from scratch by West Riding Race and Restoration and then auctioned in London. The fantastic handcrafted E-Type was based on an original 1965 Roadster, right down to a host of modifications, improvements and lightweight components in honour of the factory built lightweight.

This incredible E-Type boasts a glass fibre hardtop, ally bonnet, doors, rear wings and boot lid, a racing wet-sump engine and 3 Weber 45 DCOE carburettors.

Completing the race theme, the car was fitted with factory decals, peg-drive magnesium-alloy wheels and Dunlop L-section racing tyres, as well as being fitted to FIA spec and sold with FIA/HTP papers. Yet, with modern engineering and a perfectly usable passenger seat, this racing E-Type could equally be a daily driver, although a very fast one.
