About West Riding Race & Restoration
Independent classic & modern Jaguar specialists
Engineering excellence on road and track
West riding was formed as an independent specialist of Jaguar cars, by owner and expert Jaguar mechanical engineer Dave Bye. Dave has worked closely with Jaguars since the early eighties, while serving his apprenticeship at a Jaguar dealership and studying mechanical engineering at technical college.
Although, Dave is the driving force behind the business, he is supported by a dedicated team of specialists in the office and workshop. Working together the team has earned well publicized recognition for building and restoring some of the finest classic Jaguar cars on the road and track today.
Dave’s passion for historic Jaguars took West Riding from road to track, where on track success achieved by drivers in cars prepared by West Riding saw demand for West Riding’s engine building and race preparation services rapidly grow.
To meet demand West Riding changed strategy by focusing on the race development and restoration side of the business. A series of firsts, in business and on track, soon followed. West Riding has since become firmly established as one of the finest classic Jaguar race and restoration companies in the country.
